Abama Hotels: Elegance and Wellness for the Whole Family
If your goal is to spend quality time with your family, Abama Resort Tenerife is the right place for you. Las Terrazas de Abama Suites and Los Jardines de Abama Suites will exceed all your expectations.
Can a holiday with your kids of any age be relaxing? At Terrazas de Abama Suites and Los Jardines de Abama Suites by Abama Hotels, the answer is yes. The resort can provide care for infants, satisfy the toddler’s need to explore, offer fun activities for older children and well-deserved rest and relaxation for parents. The wellbeing of your family takes top priority in this magical place, which combines luxury and comfort in a natural setting characterised by wide-open spaces. The aim is for you to disconnect and recharge your batteries without foregoing a unique experience.
"Many people come here with the idea of enjoying the sun, the beach, the sports and the other activities available in this fantastic setting", explains Adrián Almirante, director of the two hotels managed by My Way Meaningful Hotels at Abama Resort Tenerife, one of the most luxurious destinations in Europe, located in the south of Tenerife.
"We welcome many families who come with their children, including babies, small children and teenagers. This means that their parents have to take care of them and may not be able to dedicate quality time to themselves or their partners. We have the solution for that. Many guests come on the recommendation of friends who have stayed here. A visitor once mentioned a quote by Marcel Proust that I will never forget, as it fits perfectly with the experience here: “Always try to keep a patch of sky above your life.” There is no more intense blue and no more inspiring landscape than the one you can enjoy from this marvellous place, something that fills you with peace", says Almirante.
Abama Resort Tenerife is located in an ideal enclave to break with routine. "To leave is to win a fight against habit." And to do so in such idyllic surroundings, in one of our exclusive rooms with views over the Atlantic Ocean is a unique experience, where the breeze of the trade winds and the lush native vegetation take centre stage.
The suites and villas
The spaces at Las Terrazas de Abama Suites and Los Jardines de Abama Suites are designed by Coderch Urbanismo y Arquitectura based on the original plans of the visionary landscape architect and urban planner, Melvin Villarroel, who was unable to complete them before his death. The interior design by Rita Rosés is an exercise in luxury inspired by the island setting, which stands out for the quality of the comfortable yet functional furniture, the natural wood, the warm-coloured fabrics, the marble floors, and the imposing sliding glass doors that frame the incomparable views.
There are endless possibilities for leisure and relaxation, for practicing a healthy lifestyle and taking care of yourself inside and out including: one of the best golf courses in Europe, tennis courts, four heated swimming pools, restaurants, subtropical gardens, a gym, a Kids Camp and many more services, including our recurring Wellness Weeks with complete wellness programmes that often include yoga and pilates.
Where is it?
In the beautiful, sunny south of the island of Tenerife. With a very temperate climate, the natural landscape surrounding the resort is typical of the Canary Islands, with views of the Atlantic and the neighbouring island of La Gomera. The luxury here is genuine but discreet, characterised by the harmony between the architecture and interior design and the natural landscape. Magic abounds in every corner of the island.
Haute cuisine - Melvin by Martín Berasategui
The resort has an exclusive Martín Berasategui restaurant which is also open to visitors. The menu includes both Spanish classics and original creations made with local products from the Canary Islands. The hotel can provide professional babysitters for those who prefer a romantic evening or a night out with friends. The resort also offers take out service for guests and for the owners of any one of the 300 luxury homes for those who wish to enjoy a delectable meal in the privacy of their own homes.
There are a variety of activities that can be booked through reception, including a tasting menu at Melvin, 4x4 tours of the island, whale-watching boat trips, snorkelling, excursions to the Teide National Park, accompanied stargazing, or getaways to La Gomera, among others. In addition, the two hotels border the best golf course in Tenerife, Abama Golf, and the Abama Tennis complex, owned by the same investment group. There is a free shuttle to the beach, one of the island's best kept secrets, where you can go for a refreshing swim in the ocean or enjoy a variety of water sports.
If you fancy an afternoon off, you can book childcare by the hour at the villas and suites or let them spend the day at a Kids Camp for children aged 4 to 14, which offers arts and crafts and even day trips to local attractions.
