Celebrating the most delightful nights of the 2021 Christmas season, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, with a menu created by chef Martín Berasategui’s team, 5-star service and the best climate in the world is possible in the south of Tenerife thanks to this exclusive offer brought to you by the Melvin by Martín Berasategui restaurant at Abama Resort Tenerife.

Two authentic gastronomic galas await those who choose to celebrate the holidays in a different way this year, admiring the wonderful panoramic views from the restaurant’s balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the island of La Gomera and savouring exquisite food, far from the madding crowd and from the cold!

With a mild climate and average temperatures of around 23ºC all year, located in an idyllic spot in the south of Tenerife, Abama Resort Tenerife is a residential complex with two 5-star hotels managed by My Way Meaningful Hotels which adapts to the tastes, preferences and needs of each traveller. Here, against this magnificent backdrop, the exclusive Melvin by Martín Berasategui restaurant has designed two menus for this Christmas season fit for lovers of gourmet cuisine.

To celebrate Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, Melvin's chef, Diego Dato, will offer the best cuisine of his mentor, Martín Berasategui, whose stamp is on every dish. Each of the two gourmet menus consists of five courses and dessert that will make even the most discerning palates tremble with emotion.

The journey through the senses begins with an assortment of home-made, long-fermented sourdough breads accompanied by a selection of exquisite butter and small bites. Those who decide to spend Christmas Eve enjoying this dance of unparalleled flavours will then be treated to an assortment of exotic flavours such as 'Tartar of citrus-marinated scallops wrapped in guanciale, with pea mouse' or 'Thin slices of cured picanha on toasted brioche bread, pickled piparra mayonnaise and caviar'. Meanwhile, discover the delicacy of ‘Raw fennel pearls, risotto and emulsion’ from the garden; 'Hake brochettes with a light ajoarriero and tomato mist' from the sea and an explosion of flavours in the ‘Poularde stuffed with foie and truffle, saffron gnocchi and parsnip purée'.

Melvin's expert wine steward has created a selection of the best 'André Clouet Gran Reserva Magnum' pinot noir Champagne to start the evening, followed by an 'Artadi Viñas de Gain 2013’ viura Rioja and a 'Cair Mágnum' Tempranillo and merlot from Ribera del Duero, culminating with a dessert Monastrell from Alicante, 'El Seque Dulce 2016' paired with the ‘Chocolate and peanut millefeuille with hazelnut ice cream’ for the perfect ending to a delightful Christmas Eve.

For those who choose to bid farewell to the year at this venue which boasts an exceptional climate, breath-taking views and gourmet food, the Martín Berasategui team has created a menu that is a veritable mosaic of flavours where diners will enjoy delicacies ranging from 'Oysters with citric coconut milk and basil granita' to 'Sirloin Wellington with creamy potato purée and perigueaux sauce', and such exuberant flavours as the 'Avocado trunk stuffed with red shrimp tartar on a sour apple gelée; 'Lobster ravioli with violet potato puree and guinea fowl juice' or the exquisite 'Roasted sea bass with chard ravioli stuffed with date and iodized sauce with clams', all created especially for the occasion.

And of course, a menu like this wouldn’t be complete without the selection of wines chosen by the restaurant’s wine steward which includes exquisite choices such as a 'Xavier Leconte Siganature du Hemeau Magnum’ meunier and pinot noir Champagne to start the evening’s gastronomic journey, followed by an 'Attis Mágnum' Somontano Albariño and a ‘La Servil 2019 Mágnum’ Monastrell Jumilla, culminating the experience with a ‘Casta Diva Cosecha Miel' muscatel from Alicante paired with a delectable 'Warm chocolate cake with iced coffee cream', to close out the evening as guests bid farewell to 2021.
